"The philosophy of Osteopathy is based on four basic principles:
Osteopathic Manual Practitioners recognize a person as an integrated whole. When all of the body’s components are in balance, a person is complete and in total health. Osteopathic Manual Practitioners work to maintain, improve and restore the normal physiological function of interrelated body structures and systems, enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Using various manual assessment and techniques and modalities, Osteopathic Manual Practitioners work to identify and ease restrictions, constrictions and pain; reduce swelling; improve tissue mobility; and promote proper function and healing in people of all ages."

"Certified Athletic Therapists are best known for their quick-thinking on-field emergency care of professional and elite athletes. The first to respond when someone gets hurt, they are experts at injury assessment and rehabilitation. It’s that same mix of on-site care and active rehabilitation skills that makes Athletic Therapists so effective in treating the musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, and joints) injuries of all Canadians, whether on the field or in the clinic.
Athletic therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care. They treat a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective doesn’t: an Athletic Therapist's goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back."

" Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions... Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs work with a wide variety of patients in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability. "

When you book your first appointment, a comprehensive health history form will be emailed to you. It is essential that this is filled out prior to the appointment to help both you and the practitioner establish a mutual understanding to your wellness journey. For regulatory purposes, this form must be completed once every calendar year.
Upon your arrival, your practitioner will have a discussion with you about your health history, your concerns, and your goals. With your consent, a physical assessment will then be conducted. This may include a functional movement screen, a gait analysis, physical palpation, range of motion tests, or sensory listening.
Based on your objectives and the practitioner's clinical findings, a treatment plan will be presented for your approval. Time permitting, treatment will begin as well as recommendations for a follow-up plan will be discussed.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing to your appointments. Linens and blankets will be provided for draping if needed.
